ABB make 36 kV class outdoor Porcelain Clad Vacuum Circuit Breaker (PCVCB), suitable for 33 kV system voltage, 3 phase, 50 Hz operation, with rated current up to 1250 A / 1600 A / 2000 A / 3150 A and short circuit breaking capacity up to 25 kA / 31.5 kA for 3 seconds, complete with spring operated mechanism.

The breaker is of outdoor type, comprising vacuum interrupters housed within porcelain insulators, designed for reliable performance under outdoor and harsh environmental conditions. The unit is provided with motorised spring charging mechanism (typically 230 V AC) and control voltage options such as 24 V DC / 48 V DC / 110 V DC / 220 V DC as per requirement.

The circuit breaker is supplied with complete operating mechanism, control cabinet, electrical and mechanical interlocks, position indication, and auxiliary contacts. It is suitable for switching, protection, and control of substations, transmission and distribution networks, industrial feeders, and utility applications.

Optional provisions include protection relay panel, CT/PT integration, surge arrester coordination, remote operation, SCADA/communication interface, and customised control schemes as per project requirement.

Designed for high dielectric strength, mechanical endurance, and maintenance-free operation of vacuum interrupters, ensuring long service life and operational reliability. Supplied complete with standard accessories and documentation, in compliance with IEC 62271-100 and IEC 62271-1.
